Number of Competitors:
We will accept 15 competitors and 3 alternates for this years pageant. This is done on a first come, first served basis. The first 15 people to submit completed forms will be in the contest. We'll also accept 3 alternates, in case cold feet prevail.

The Application Form:
Complete all information on the form. You must be at least 18 years of age to enter. Please note that the "Talk nerdy to me" section will be used as your introduction to the audience and judges. Bring the completed form to the Dallas/Ft Worth FanForce table at All-Con.

When is it?

Saturday Afternoon - March 17th. You must have a All-Con membership to participate.

Where do I report?
Report to the Dallas/Ft Worth FanForce table and look for the Contestant Coordinator. Those who don't arrive by the start of the contest will be replaced by one of the alternates.  When you report in, you will tell the Contestant Coordinator who you are representing. Provide either your club's name or your city. The Contestant Coordinator will create a sash for you to wear during the competition.
How does the contest work?

Contestant categories will be announced at the time of the contest. Each round, a contestant could be asked to prove their expertise in SW trivia, perform a Gungan mating dance, give us your best "Help me, Obi-wan", or tell us why you think Dexter Jetsetter is the sexiest thing on Coruscant. An example of previous Ms. Star Wars categories:
  • The Star Wars Strut - You will be given individual time to strut your stuff in front of the judges. Our hosts will read the introduction you write in the "Talk nerdy to me" section and you will be given a chance to take your favorite Star Wars pose or walk while they introduce you. Make it good. Our judges will choose the finalists based on this one section. (No pressure.)
  •
  • Whose Star Wars line is it anyway? - This section will present each finalist (or sometimes combination of finalists) with a scenario. You will have around two minutes to react to that scenario. You'll have to be able to think on your feet for this one.
  •
  • Questions and Answers - What would a contest be without the thought-provoking question and answer session? These are not your usual questions about galactic peace, though. We'll have questions that will stretch the limits of your fandom.
  •
Entertainment and Winners Selection
From the 15 initial contestants, the judges will select 6 finalists to move on to the rest of the competition. Those not selected will get to keep their lovely sashes and watch the rest of the competition from the front row. The finalists will continue on to the remaining rounds and to the end of the contest. At this point, our judges will leave the room to select the winners. During this time, the finalists get to sit for a few minutes and primp while some fabulous entertainment is presented.

Judging
Contestants will be judged each round by our panel of experts (including a special celebrity judge) on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the highest. Judges will be looking for originality, personality, spontaneity, creativity, and overall Star Wars spirit. The scores will be totaled and the contestant with the highest score will be crowned Ms. Star Wars 2007.  The winners are announced. Tears are shed. A new Ms. Star Wars is crowned.
We hope you will choose to join us and have fun with it. See you there!
